About this conference:
The 2026 GASOC International Conference will be held virtually on the 7 th November 2026. The theme is “Operating for the Future: Reimagining Global Surgery”. The conference will bring together trainees, clinicians, researchers, educators, and global health leaders to explore the future of global surgery. Through a series of lectures, workshops and trainee presentations, the conference will examine the key and emerging themes shaping the field, including health policy, climate change, workforce development, surgical systems strengthening, and the evolving roles of surgery, anaesthesia, and obstetric care within global health. Participants will consider the major challenges and opportunities facing the global surgery community and discuss how the next generation of clinicians and researchers can contribute to advancing equitable, sustainable, and high-quality surgical care worldwide.
